Youth Leadership
Hadracha is our leadership course which offers those in School Year 9 the chance to become madrichimot (youth leaders) at FRS. Participants will be trained to become madrichimot by expert informal educators and youth workers who all bring a range of different experiences to the table.
This course is aimed at Year 9; however, FRS welcomes anyone in year 9 or above who is interested in joining the course if they are keen to lead and did not get a chance to complete the course when they were in Year 9.
Graduates of the Hadracha course will be offered the opportunity to work at Summer Scheme, Feb Scheme and Kochavim. You will also be given the opportunity to help at Sunday Funday and on residentials (Donut Weekend, Shavuot sleepover...)
Hadracha training not only provides you with the skills to work at FRS (some roles are paid, some voluntary), it also offers important life skills and experience and looks great on your CV and university applications.
Moreover, Hadracha graduates get priority on a range of amazing social opportunities – including teen residential and international trips (in the past two years we've been to Berlin and New York!). We also hold regular teen socials throughout the year.
You can also join our Youth Council, open to years 9 – 13. It’s your opportunity to shape FRS for you now and for the future.
Looking further ahead, taking part in the FRS Hadracha course will open up opportunities for you to lead in England and Israel with RSY-Netzer.
