Team FRS – Wellbeing
What does the role involve?
The group was set up in response to Covid-19, but now works with members and their families who are experiencing difficulties in a whole range of situations. The team members make regular phone calls to those who need support, helping them for a time-limited period. If needed, they help find a therapist for more focused / longer term support or signpost them to other appropriate services.
What skills or experience do you need?
Our Wellbeing Group is made up of members of FRS who are mental health professionals, and they are all working in a voluntary capacity.
What is the time commitment?
The time required is as much or as little as the volunteer can give and the person they support needs. The volunteers meet as a group on a regular basis
Team Wellbeing is led by Lucille Balcombe.
