Simchat Torah
As a way to celebrate Simchat Torah, and the end of the perfectly facilitated (during a global pandemic) HHDs, the clergy wanted to give the community a way to celebrate and come together safely.
It needed to be outdoors, have music - led by the amazing Shir - dancing, food and entertainment for all the ages.
Over 500 people came to StoneX Stadium, our home for the HHDs - albeit 'inside out' this year. Luckily, the rain stopped just in time!
The service included the B’nei Mitzvah participants, who would have had their service on Zoom followed by an online activity or socially distanced celebration. They now had the chance to publicly mark the occasion, and of course the community were able to thank the clergy for all they had done over the previous 18 months.
Cantor Zoe and Shir started off the Torah procession. This was followed by Israeli dancing on the track and plenty to do and eat up on the piazza.
Thank you to all those involved for making it so special and for making sure the Zoom community were looked after too!
