Judith & Jack's Park of the Week
My son Jack and I have been visiting different parks and open spaces each week since the start of the pandemic. I started writing the Park of the Week blog in January 2021, to suggest places people might walk to get out of the house for a while. Since I started the blog, it’s been visited over 1,200 times.
We’ve been to Barnet, Haringey, Enfield, Brent, Islington, City of London, Hertsmere, and Harrow. I find them on local authority websites, maps, or sometimes from personal recommendations and cautions (‘that’s a notorious crime spot’). I write about those I consider worth making the journey to visit.
Jack has autism and is determined that we only visit a place once. We’ve been to one hundred and forty-six parks at the time of writing this, so there are plenty more to blog about.
